What Does White Spike On The Edge Of Tongue That Looks Like Growth Indicate?
I just discovered a white spike on the edge of my tongue, not at the tip. I tried to pull on it and realized it was a type of growth. It does not hurt but can feel a sensation, if I pull on it. Wondering what it is called and should I seek medical attention?
Hi Fungal infections (oral candidiasis) is a common problem causing white plaques over tongue especially in diabetes. It respond well to local anti fungal ointment. If not responding or recurring , you may need a consultation with doctor to rule out other conditions like oral leucoplakis etc. Thank you
