What Does White Spots On The Bone Indicate In MRI?

I currently have a high grade partial tear in my rotar cuff and the doctor sent me to have another mri to see if there was any changes. He meantion that I had white spots on the bone that he has to speak with the radiologist with. What is white spots on the bone mean
