What Does White Tissue At A Tooth Extraction Site Indicate?
My 6 yr child just had his tooth pulled. It came off after the 2nd pull easily but there seems to be a little bit of white tissue left behind in the socket. His adult teeth has already emerged from behind. I was worried that it might be roots left behind the baby teeth? I thought it might be a little piece of the tooth but it s appears to be soft. Should I attempt to remove or just left it be? Thanks!
The white tissue that is left at the extraction site and is soft can be due to the healing tissue that is responsible for healing of the extraction site. Please click pictures and upload it to me so that I can have a look and let you known more precisely.
For now, you should follow the post extraction instructions and give him soft meals. Also, if there is any doubt you can also get an x ray done for confirmation.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
