What Does White Vaginal Discharge Mean When Postinor-2 Is Taken Twice Within 6 Hours Post Unprotected Sex?

Hi, a girl had an unprotected sex with her man, and he cum inside her thrice. After that, she took 2pills of Postinor 2 within 6hrs of the sex. The next day, she started seeing a whitish vagina discharge with odor. Please, does that mean the pills worked? Will she get pregnant?

Hello,

If Postinor-2 is taken as instructed and your partner has not vomited, then she shouldn't get pregnant. Sometimes white discharge is due to rough sex or infection. Get her STD tests done. She will be treated with antibiotics / antivirals if reports are positive. Postinor-2 alters hormonal balance and may result in white discharge or abnormal bleeding.

Fluid discharge from vagina can also be due to yeast infection, discharge due to implantation or ovulation. You should get her clinically examined by a Gynae within 3 weeks of taking Postinor-2. She may experience spotting or vaginal bleeding earlier than expected. However, she misses her periods by 4-5 days, it is recommended to take a home pregnancy test Get her clinically examined by a gynecologist to detect ectopic pregnancy or other medical conditions.
