What Does Yellow Lump On Tongue With Swelling And Pain Mean?

My daughters tongue on the right side is swollowen and hurts really badly. She say there a is a lump there also.the bump looks yellowish. This is just happened around 10;30pm today. she did take some benedryl and so far that has seemed to be helping her right now. I have told her to go to the er but she wants to see is this works first. She lives in Florida and I live in grand blanc. So of course I am worried. we are just to far away.

Thanks for your query. I have gone through your query.
The pain and swelling over the tongue can be a lipoma or fibroma secondary to irritation by the teeth. It can also be a mucocele. Nothing to be panic, consult a oral physician and get it evaluated mean while you can take analgesics like ibuprofen (if you are not allergic) for the pain. Do saline gargling.
