General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I am sorry for the situation you are in.

To my records, Becheem 500 is referring to Amoxicillin 500 mg. It is an antibiotic used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections including those of upper respiratory tract.

The very first thing is to get examined by your doctor to rule out other problems and to find out why you are having persistent cold.

Next, as you are having lost of sputum, I'd suggest to use mucolytic drugs to dissolve mucus and clear your airways off.

If after physical examination, your doctor would refer that you are also having a bacterial infection, then, should go for Becheem 500 (thrice daily for at least 7 days).

Wish fast recovery!
