What Dosage Of Crocin Is Advisable For A Child With High Fever?

Hi. I have given 7.5 ml of cyclopam to my 7yr old who weighs 30kg. Can i give him crocin.... to bring the fever down. And if so. How much? He is suffering from stomach infection. Has passed loose stool once and vomitted twice since last night at 9pm. Yes he has eaten outside food past two days... avoiding it now !

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query your child is suffering from high fever which seems to be due to viral or bacterial infection. It could be due to urinary tract infection. Impaired immunity of body is exaggerating factor for condition of child. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to visit general physician once and get it examined. You should get blood tests redone and start treatment after proper diagnosis. Take diet rich in fresh juices and fruits. You should give your child complete test. Drink plenty of water and fluids. You should take anti-allergic medication along with proper course of antibiotic along with Ibuprofen. Do tepid sponging as well to lower down fever. You should give mild dosage of Crocin every 4 hrly.

Hello dear
Understand your concern
No need to give crocin
As you already give cyclopan that contain paracetamol which decrease fever.
You can give antibiotic ciprofloxacin 100 mg twice daily for 3 days
Apply cold pack for fever
Drink plenty of water
