What Dosage Of Thyronorm Is Advisable During Pregnancy?

madam, my wife 6 weeks pregnant( age is 36, weight is 55, height is 5 .5 ) she gone through thyroid test with empty stomach, in reports TSH is 7.0, T3 & T4 are normal, so, docter suggested thyronorm 12.5mcg tablets. now she is using this tablet daily from last week. so my question is, is this dosage 12.5mcg is enough to control the thyroid? and when should she can go for next thyroid test to check thyroid levels? pls give me the reply. thank you madam

hi...congatilation to you.
yes your doctor is right thyronorm is advisable in hypothyroid cases even in pregnancy it is safe.
now for dose of drug we have to see the thyroid profile test after 30 days of starting of treatment.
after the result we can increase or decrease the dose..
till now go with 12.5...
regular monthly thyroid profile is advisable in pregnant lady..
