What Dosages Of Misoprostol And Mifepristone Be Taken For Termination Of Pregnancy?

Hello, i recently used misoprostol alone to induce a 4-week old pregnancy 14 days ago. i took 7 tablets, 200mcg each. I recently had a scan and the embryonic sac is still there, with no foetus or embryo seen inside. i still bleed in drops occasionally and its 2 weeks now. My breasts are painful to touch. Should i repeat misoprostol or combine with mifepristone and what are the dosages? What is your advise please.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You may need to use 4 tables of Mifepristone under cheeks and the bleeding will occur. If it doesn't happen but spotting continues you may need to go to doctor for D and C procedure.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
