What Foods Should Be Eaten To Avoid Flatulence? Does Metformin Cause Flatulence?

What foods can I eat that will avoid flatulence? Seems anything I eat cause it. Does metformin cause flatulence? Are there natural remedies I may take to avoid it? I try not to mix protein and carbohydrates and eat a balance diet including fruits and vegetables. I do not drink carbonated liquids but do drink 2 cups of coffee a day. I drink plenty of water. Quite embarrassing and cause me not to eat before or during public outings.
