What Harm Can Cat Bite Do During Pregnancy?

I was bit by my house cat last night; on the inside of my elbow. It did leave a puncture mark; and now the area around the bite (almost the size of a post-it note) is red. I am 11.5 weeks pregnant. I called the OB/GYN office and they said the Family Doctor is the one who determines the severity and if I need a tetnis, etc. What is the harm of cat bites during pregnancy; and what is the harm of the tetnis and/or antibiotics during this stage in my pregnancy as well?

Hello Welcome to Health Care Magic
Don't worry much. stay calm.
tetanus and antibiotics are necessary in your case. your doctors must have given you safe antibiotics during pregnancy. hope your cat is vaccinated against rabies virus. As such there is no harm to your fetus if antibiotics are from safe category. and you do not acquire rabies. tetanus injection is also otherwise routine protocol for pregnancy.
best wishes
