What Has Caused Large, Red Splotches On My Lower Legs?

Large red splotches on lower legs. No heat to the area. Also not raised or rigid. No pain, irritation, or itching. Came on after a trip where I did a lot of walking. Was wearing capris and sandals most of the trip. Happened once before after a lot of walking on a trip to New Orleans.

Hi,

It seems that you might have developed ecchymosis . There is rupture of capillaries underneath the skin due to excessive pressure trauma caused by walking for long time. It may be called post traumatic purpura . You consult dermatologist for firm diagnosis and to find the cause of the disease. Blood investigations may be done to rule out the blood diseases. Apply thrombophob oint.take vitamin C and K to enhance the improve the condition

Thanks.
