What Insect Bite Can Cause Swelling With Skin Splitting And Hardening?

i WAS BITTEN ON BOTH OF MY SHINS BY AN UNKNOWN TYPE OF INSECT . i HAD WALKED ACROSS A UNDER GROUND NEST OF SOME SORT. THIS HAPPENED A YEAR AGO THIS MONTH, i HAVE HAD MY FEET AND SHINS SWELL UP TO WHERE THE SKIN HAS SPILT AND OZZED LIQUID AND MY LEGS UNDER MY KNEES HAS BECOME ROCK HARD TO THE TOUCH AND TO TOUCH THEM is very painful went to the doc who gave me some antibiotics, they didn t seem to help much also gave me water pills again not helping any. I can relieve the pain sometimes by staying laid down. I didn t see what had bitten me, I had to walk home at night due to a car breakdown and the area was grassy on the side of the road. What could this be and what should I do for a treatment. Help Me Thank You
