What Is Claxane Injection Prescribed For?

Hi, I have had my first FET on 28th Oct and I was put on claxane injection, progynova 4 times a day, Omnicortel and follivite once daily. I am on Naturogest (Progesterone) suppository two morning n two eve. on 10th day post transfer, I had a two-three drops of brown discharge. I called my clinic ad they asked me to continue evrything except claxane injection till day 19th. I am wondering why? Didnt get any explaination and I am restless... Hope I will get the answer here... Thanks. Preeti

Hello,

First of all, do not panic. The injection of low molecular weight heparin is used to treat in cases of bad obstetric history or recurrent pregnancy loss. Sometimes it is given prophylactically to prevent pregnancy loss.

It works by preventing blood clotting in blood vessels supplying to pregnancy. In some patients, there are certain types of immune responses that need prevention of blood clotting mechanism. It helps to protect and grow the early pregnancy. Please trust fully in your treating doctor. You are on right kind of medicines. To continue all the treatment as prescribed to you.
