What Is A Hard Area In The Left Side Of Pelvis Suggestive Of?

Hi. There is a rather hard area near the left side of my pelvis. It's like when I press down on it, It feels hard and it feels kind of oval shaped maybe? And when I do the same to the right side near my pelvis, it feels completely normal. Im kind of scared that its something that will cause problems and I just really want to make sure Im aware of any problems happening in my body? Im going to talk to my mother and see if I can get it checked out but I just want to be sure Im not worrying over nothing.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have hard area in the left side of pelvis. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like mononucleosis , hernia , sexually transmitted infections or saphena varix. I would suggest you to apply warm compresses to hard area , keep the area clean and dry and apply over tehe counted anti inflammatory ointment . Consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may order certain test like skin patch test , blood test or take sample for lab test . Doctor may also refer you to general surgeon for hernia .
