What Is A Hard Lump Under The Skin On Penis Suggestive Of?

Hi, I have a hard lump under the skin mid way along my penis on the side. I have had this for some time now, it has no negative effect on my penis function, gives me no pain but is there! I can get it between finger and thumb and if I squeeze it feels as hard as a stone, I think probably from a blocked follicle or something. I think this is quite a common thing and my question is can it be removed? I am 54, 16 stone (a little over weight), suffer from Anklosing Spodulitis (apologies for the spelling) but try to keep myself as active as possible.

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I have read your description and understand your concern.
Hard lump what you are complaining of present underneath the skin of penis appears to be 'sebaceous cyst'. However, it needs to be examined and confirmed clinically and you need to consult Surgeon for that.
Surgical excision of a sebaceous cyst is a simple procedure to completely remove the sac and its contents. It would cure the condition permanently.
Kindly consult Surgeon for further evaluation and management.
