What Is A Lump On Inner Thigh With A Red Swollen Line Along With It Suggestive Of?

i have a lump on my inner upper thigh / bikini line and it started to have a red swollen line going down my inner thigh..i went to the ER and they gave me a shot of steroid and as i came home i took benedryl for i am allergic to insect bites..i dont know what to do because i never had it before but have had insect bited swell up as like yesterday i got bite by a horse fly and my right lower leg above my ankle is swollen, hard around the bite and blistered like always..what else could it be other then an insect bite reaction

Hello,

The lump on inner thigh with red swollen line indicates inflammatory changes following insect bite issue. I would recommend following for better recovery:
- Sterile dressing over the affected part
- Local application of ice 3 times a day
- Prescription of antibiotics as cephalexin or others anti-inflammatory medicines with proteolytic enzymes content as serratiopeptidase or trypsin, chymotrypsin
- Avoidance of tight undergarments or jeans
- Control of blood sugar

Regular follow up with your doctor for progress of the condition.
