What Is A Nasty Metallic Taste In My Mouth With Cramping After A Hip Injury When Pregnant?

I am 37 weeks pregnant. I fell yesterday on ice and landed on my hip and hit my side. I am 100% effaced and dilated to a one. I am having contractions and some cramping that has kept me awake all night and day. I also have a nasty metallic taste in my mouth. What could this be?

hi,
It is common to have metallic taste during labor pains as it is due to reflux of your stomach acids into your mouth due to increased pressure. Nothing to worry just keep drinking small amount of sweet juices as they will remove the taste.
