When you get up, the blood sugar level should be between 70 mg to 100 mg per deciliter. After eating a meal upper limit is 180 mg/dl. Two hours or more after eating, ideally it should be below 140 mg/dl. At bed time it should be between 70 mg to 180 mg/dl.
