I am a women age 64 who has never smoked, but have had asthma my whole like with 3 different scratch bac test starting at age 5 to about 41. It under control I do get exercise induce asthma . Its nothing that makes any difference to my life. I went to the doctor today about something simple and they did a routine specter on my finger. It was 92, I live in Kansas, not a high alitude. I have never had a 92 before it alway a 98 97 or 100 per cent. I want to know what the average number is for a woomen my age, I realize it is average. The reason I am concerned is because I have Alpha One anti Tripten lung inherited gene from each parents. I am on of the luck ones , I have never had any lung problems. My lungs last test was quote a few years ago. I have taken the IV prolastin once a week since 1990. I still feel no problems what so ever. The nurse said it was normal because I had been talking and stuff. I should know the answer to this but I do not. I just want a number for a normal lung function. Then I can take it from there, my doctor in Coloado said my lungs were so good I could not take medicine and mabe have no problems until my 70. 92 seem low to me but its been quite a few years 10 or so since my last visit, I have no pulanologist SP doctor is my small town in Kansas.
