What Is A Painful Lump Around The Anus Suggestive Of?

On Friday I went too bed fine. Woke Saturday morning with pain around my anus. Felt a lump about size of a quarter. Thought it was hemmorhoids. Tried treating with ice packs, preparation h, anusol and warm baths. Not getting any larger but hurts to sit. what could it be?

Hello. It still most likely is a hemorrhoid, but it could be a perirectal abscess that would require drainage under local anesthesia, so I suggest you have a doctor look at it
