What Is A Painful Spot In The Leg Suggestive Of?

My leg has been hurting in a very concentrated spot in the mid section of my leer leg. There s no bruising or swelling just some dull pain. When pressed the pain increases around the region, not significantly but from dull to noticible. I m not quite sure what it is, I m considered overweight according to the scale used by doctors, but there s little fat on my body. It s mainly muscle. I haven t hit that spot at any point I can remember nor was it me sleeping on it weird. Any thought would be appreciated. If it seems significant enough to have it examined, I can do so but it would most likely take food off my table.

Hi,

Noted your history of a pain and tender spot on a particular point over leg, are overweight but mainly muscles.
The commonest causes I can think about are one of the following:
Sub-periosteal hematoma or collection of any sort is painful and tender.
There can be an infection too.
Development of a neuroma or so.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Consult an Orthopedic Surgeon for clinical examination.
CT scan or MRI of the area may be needed to get an exact cause as this is rare to get painful spot without any injury or obvious cause.
Get treated as per the cause found.
Do not try anything at home.
