What Is A Popping Sound In Shoulders With History Of Dislocated Shoulder Suggestive Of?

Hey. I dude located my shoulder playing football September of 2014. I still have problems to this date. I don t know what s wrong since I can do push ups and bench press with out causing pain but when I throw a football or a tennis ball hard it feels like I popped my shoulder and immediately it goes back in to pain. What do you think it is?

Hello thank you for writing us here.
Popping sounds in joints are because when you stretch a joint, it produces cavitations and sudden collapse of joint resulting into the cracking sound. Because of dislocation, the injury would be replaced by fibrous tissue around the joint and when you over stretch it, it results into pain because it irritates the previously injured tissue. You can use diclofenac gel which would help in getting relief from pain. Live hard live strong. ;)

Best regards,
Dr Gunjan
