What Is A Recurring Pus Filled Bump On The Stomach Suggestive Of?

I have a bump on my stomach that is pretty big. I pop it several times multiple times a day till I get all the puss out. But it keeps filling up so I have to pop it multiple times a day. How do I heal it. I get these pretty regularly through the the year but never one that has lasted so long. Any suggestions?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Your further course of treatment depends on the size of the abscess. If the pus-filled abscess is large in size than proper incision and drainage procedure should be done.

It's advisable to take an antibiotic course for five days. Rule out diabetes also as it can lead repeated infection of superficial skin tissue.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
