What Is A Red, Itchy, Liquid Oozing Area On The Arm Suggestive Of?

Hi, I had a red about nickel size red spot on my arm, itchy, kind of oozing, I thought it looked like I Ring worm without the ring. Went to a resident Doctor, he ruled out lymes and even though it didn t have a ring he guessed it was ring worm. Treat with clortrimazole, after about 2 weeks of that and hydrocortisone it went away. About 3 weeks later, it showed up again, same exact thing, same spot. Not as red or oozing this time and mostly just itchy. Treating the same way, it s been 3 weeks and it is less red, no oozing, but still itching quite a bit. Suggestions?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Could be ring worm itself. Kindly continue the treatment and see that you maintain good sleeping hygiene. Make sure there is no chance for any insects or Other things to be in your bed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
