What Is A Small Circular Scab On The Right Shin Suggestive Of?

I have small circular scab on my right shin below my knee , been there awhile. I ve messed with it and after shower scan was off n I put peroxide in it . It s dark . Fungus , infection , cancer ? I got a dr appt in November , I do have high BP & on meds. My mother had diabetes but all my tests said I do not sooo ? Thanks for the help

Since it has been there for a while, it is possible that it may be a fungal infection, these can last a long period of time and can also take 2 to 3 weeks to heal with treatment.

Cancer , as you mentioned, can also cause skin lesions but it is not the most common cause of skin issues.

A visit to your doctor can determine if this is the case.

If it is fungal, using a topical antifungal such as ketoconazole, miconazole or econazole would be recommended.
