What Is A Small Speck On The Area Of Tonsil Removal Suggestive Of?

Hi, I m 18 years old. I m a female and I got my tonsils out Tuesday at 7am it s Saturday now so I m about 5 days out. I ve been watching what I eat very carefully and I haven t been talking much! However I was at a friends house and I accidentally yelled because something bad was about to happen...I now taste blood but I don t see any pouring out other than a small speck on my right side. It looks like it s running down the side of the home where my tonsil was but it doesn t look bad. I drank ice water and it still looks the same. I can t tell if it s bleeding or I m just paranoid. What should I do though? I can t sleep cause I m scared I ll choke or bleed out in my sleep.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

It could be a tonsilolith or tonsil stone. Generally it will settle by itself. If it persists better to consult an ENT specialist and evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
