What Is A Tender, Swollen, Red Spot On Right Breast Suggestive Of?

I have a red spot on my right breast that appeared over night. It is a little swollen and tender, but both are local only and has appeared to stay the same size throughout the day. There is some slight wrinkling to the skin of the immediate are and feels edematous to the touch. I have a feeling it is a bug bite as there is some itching and I have had excessive reactions in the past. Please advise.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Based on the description, it appears you could have developed 'breast abscess'.
It can be treated conservatively by means af administration of a course of antibiotics and antiinflammatory drugs. However, if the response is not good enough, the bascess needs to be explored and drained by surgical means.
Kindly consult Surgeon for clinical examination and evaluation, so that appropriate measures can be taken to overcome the same.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
