What Is An Easy Way To Tell The Difference Between Folliculitis And HPV?

What is an easy way to tell the difference between folliculitus and hpv? I have been diagnosed with hair follical infections before, but these look slightly different. They are two non circular pimple looking lumps on my upper groin area. They are about .5 inch away from the base of my penis. I shave my genitals about every other day. The bumps have been there atleast 2 weeks. I have had a lot of unprotected sexual partners.

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
There is a lot of difference of the folliculitis and the HPV, folliculitis is a bacterial infection causing the infection of the follicles, filled with the pus.
H.P.V is a viral infection, may spread through the sex. may cause warts, may be a self limiting, some times.or may lead to warts, or cancer etc.
I advise you to consult a dermatologist for diagnosis and treatment.
Folliculitis can be cured by simple antibiotics for a period of 5 to 10 days completely.
H.P.V may need to be treated with antivirals for a prolonged period.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. thank you.
