What Is An Elevated Rib And How Does It Happen?

neck arm and shoulder pain for 1 month mri showed herniated disc at c-spine. pt started he seems to think its an elevated rib causing my severe pain not the herniations. what is an elevated rib and how do you get it? i am 38 years old and have been on a computer since im in college is that part of my problem because my career is medical billing?
