What Is An Itchy, Round, Red Mark On Leg Suggestive Of?
Hi Dr. Prasad, I have a RING SORE on my leg it hard and red at top end of the ring, no pain just scratches at times. It almost looks like a ROUND mark. I drew a ring around it 7 days ago and it has spread around 1 inches since. I have been putting cream HYDROCPRTISONE VALERATE CREAM USP for a week or so. Advise please, Thanks, Sesha

* As per my surgical experience, the itchy, round red mark on leg is suggestive of Tenia infection caused by fungus.
Apart from applying steroid cream, you will require a prescription of antifungal medications to be consumed orally to get it cured at earliest.
Time being approach for itching is Cetrizine or diphenhydramine tablet.
