What Is Anti-D Injection And When Should It Be Taken During Pregnancy?

Helo doctor. My name is Pranitha. Iam 27 years old. Iam pregnant now of 18 weeks. my blood group is O-ve. my Hb percentage is 11. I had a miscarriage of 45 days pregnancy 1 year before. What is anti D injection and when should I take it..? What precausions should I take to have a safe delivery?

anti D injection only needed if your husband blood group is any positive like o+ve, B +ve etc.

It is given to avoid any direct blood contamination in your baby.

Usually it is recommended that it is given at 28 eek of pregnancy and 2nd dose at time of delivery.

After injection there is no chance of any complication.

so consult your gynecologist.
