What Is Causing Extreme Pain In My Liver?

Hi Dr, for the past 5 months I battled with terrible "liver" pain. They did liver tests 5 times and all are like below:
S-g-GLUTAMIEL TRANSFERASE 122IU/L
S-ALT (GPT) 218IU/L
S-AST (GOT) 293IU/L
Can you please explain what the cause can be, because I'm not taking any alcohol.
Thanks

Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein and I will try to help you as much as I can.

There is obviously significant liver lesion and right causes must be eszablished. It can be caused by viral hepatitis so this should be ruled out first. YOu need to do viral markers for it. ALso it can be cirrhosis, or autoimmune hepatitis especially if there is history of drinking alcohol. So you should do liver ultrasound and biopsy next so that treatment can be planned.

I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us.
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
