What Is Causing Lower Abdominal Pain?

I am a female age 43, I have lower left abdominal pain. The slight pain is there consistently, but then on and off a more pronounced pain will flare and then go away. This is not the first time I have had this, but I cannot remember for sure the last time.

Hi. Left abdominal pain can be due to colitis, tubo-ovarian problem on left side. The constant nature with a history of flair-up needs an investigation to be decide on clinical examination and other relevant history about your periods, motions( stool) urine . For sure you can go for an ultrasound examination to start with.
