What Is Causing My Weight Gain And Bloating?

I am a diabetic Typ 2 and just saw my doctor in May which was with a blood and urine lab. Everything was OK my weight at the time of the visit was around 245. Since the visit I have been increasing weight and i now weigh 265 with extreme blotting. there was only one change to my meds which was a new pill for Colestral. Can this have caused me to gain weight and I am so blotted that my stomach feels like it going to explode. What can be causing this?

Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

Cholesterol medications are not usually associated with weight gain.

Bloating may be associated with a false impression of weight gain in some persons but not up to 20 pounds.

You can look at your other meds to see if any of them are contributing to your weight problems.

In addition, you may want to look at lifestyle changes to your diet and level of activity to see if you may be able to make changes that would help with weight loss.

I hope this helps
