What Is Causing Yellow Drainage From My 4 Years Old S Ear?
My four year old son has had tubes twice now and continues to get ear infections. He is currently taking an oral antibiotic and had drops. With all of the ear infections he has had there has been some drainage. My concern with this one is the pain appears much worse than in the past, also there is excessive amounts of yellow/clear drainage this time(its dripping on to his clothes and down his neck). The Dr couldnt see if the tubes were still in place and he was refered back to ENT, but that appointment isnt for anther month. Should I be concerned about that amount of drainage and take him to see another Dr?
Probably he may be suffering from middle ear infection lead to drainage of pus through tubes. Use steam inhalation thrice a day for five days. Use hot water for drinking. Avoid water entry into the ears while bathing. If there is no improvement, please consult with your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
