What Is Dull Pain In Mid Back Radiating To Shoulder And Arm Suggestive Of?
I have a dull aching pain in my mid-back. Only on right side. I radiates it shoulder and and down arm, sometime causing numbness and tingling to thumb and next digit. The pain is exacerbated when I begin lifting, bending, or stretching. I don t do heavy lifting. also the shoulder on only my right side, pops and clicks when moved. I went to PCP last November. I was told my breasts were just large and this may be causing the pain. If this is so why only on ride side
You symptoms point towards problem in your spine. Possible causes can be spondylosis, herniated disk, and vertebral compression. Other non-spinal causes can be diabetes, chronic kidney disease, leprosy, vasculitis and hypothyroidism etc. Large breast does not cause such problem. Advice 1. Methylcobalamin 500 mcg once daily per oral for 3 months 2. Amitryptyline 25 mg daily per oral at bed time for 20 days 3. Take rest and avoid strong physical activity 4. Avoid left lifting 5. Investigation a. MRI of spine b. Blood sugar (F & PP) Consult an orthopedic surgeon for further follow up
Thanks
