What Is Follicular Tonsilis And Is Surgery The Only Option To Treat It ?

Hi Dr I have Follicular Tonsilis...Dr has advised for Surgery ..i am really worried abt the surgery...not sure of post operation receovery and sideeffects...I am consulting Dr Rudrappa s hospital ...Please suggest if surgery is only option and review on Rudraapa s clinic . i am 33 years and one 2 years kid Thanks Mrs Ramanan

Hi,
If you get infection of tonsils and throat very often then and then you go for operation otherwise not.
Due to follicular tonsils there is always chance of chronic infection remain in the follicles so doctor might have advised operation.So if you do not get infection in your tonsil often,discuss this with your doctor and do accordingly.
