My girl friend told me she is infected with fungus around her genital area. she got treated and cured. she didn t tell me. should i have to get a kind of diagnosis? what is genital fungus after all? tell me more please? Your girl friend had vaginal candidiasis.
It is caused by the overgrowth of a type of yeast called Candida albicans.
This yeast is normally found in small amounts in the human body. But certain medicines and health problems can cause more yeast to grow, particularly in warm, moist body areas.
