What Is Hormonal Imbalance?

Hello, I have been on birth control for 8 years. I am 25 years old. I have never had spotting between periods. Last Sunday I started spotting, and have been spotting for 8 days now. I am supposed to get my period this weekend. I just went to a Doctor and I am not pregnant. He said it is hormone imbalance and suggested I go off birth control. I only have 3 pills left from the pack I am on right now. Should I not finish the pack?

Finish the pack, that's ok with me, but I agree with your doctor to go off birth control to make your hormones get back to normal.
