What Is Loss Of Sensation In Arm, Wrist And Hand Suggestive Of?
Hi, my friend believes there is something wrong with him. Right now he is sick and he cant find his pulse in his wrist, neck, or chest and he is very afraid. He also punched the wall and didn t feel any pain in his hand and then took a knife and cut his palm but still cant feel anything i m starting to feel concerned is there any reason to be?
The pulse in the wrist represents the blood to the fingers and hands, if it was not present, these areas would become blue , painful and would slowly die.
The same for the pulse in the neck, this goes to the brain. Reduced blood supply to the brain would also be associated with very severe symptoms and problems. There would be loss of consciousness , seizures.
Though he is not feeling these pulses, unless he is experiencing the above symptoms, they are present.
The concern is the punching of the wall and cutting of the palm. This is not the typical response. Your friend may want to consider seeing someone for assessment of his overall health- physical, emotional, mental
I hope this helps
