What Is Meaning Of Bibasal Pneumonitis Vs Basal Hypoaeration In Chest X-ray?
I had my x ray chest PA result. Roentgen findings: haziness is seen on both lower lung field. Heart is not enlarged. Diaphragm and Sulci are intact. Impression: Bibasal Pneumonitis vs Basal Hypoaeration....what does this mean? I am 47 years old and works in a call center. Thank you very much.
There are hazy opacities in lower lobes of both lungs. This can be due to mild infection involving the lower segments (basal) and may cause symptoms like cough and chest congestion. The other possibility is less amount of air entering the basal segment in the lungs. Both these conditions are benign and need to be confirmed after clinical examination.
