Hi I just got my MRI results of my left shoulder, and find that I have a tear in my rotator cuff, some degeneration, and some tear in other spots but not sure where. I was given the results by the MA, and the Dr. has yet to call me. I m in pain in the mean time and can t take NSAIDS, or NAPROXEN. What can I do?
Here depending on severity of your muscle tear further management decided
You are having rotator cuff injury, hence for that ibuprofen like drug prescribed meanwhile... You have mentioned you can't take NSAIDS, reason is not mentioned for that, so after doc consultation drug taken
Second intralesional steroid injection is another mode of therapy if suitable
If severity more and if needed surgical management done for that
Warm compress helpful, take rest
Avoid strenuous work
Take care
Consult orthopedic surgeon for examination and further work up
