What Is My Blood Test Report Suggestive Of?

hi my wife is 40 years of age just got her blood tested as she was feeling feverish and lack of energy as per her blood report : Hb 5.2 TLC 38100 Neutrophils 87 lymphocytes 08 monocytes 02 eosinophils 03 basophils 0 ESR 127 packed cell volume 16 platelet 813 10^3/u l PBF examination : shows rbc sare mild microcytic with hypochromic adequte wbc s are reported No. immature cell seen. Blood Culture : Sterile Pl suggest next course of action Thanks

Hello,

The blood report of your wife is indicative of hypochromic microcytic anemia and most of the cases it relates to iron deficiency. The root cause can be related to loss of excess blood during menses, hemorrhoids, dietary deficiency, malasbsorption or others. She has multiple modes of possible management guidelines as:
- Transfusion of packed cell volume for fastest recovery
- Injectable iron sucrose preparations which help to boost hemoglobin medical way
- Oral iron supplements with capsule, tablets or syrup
- Control of blood loss if there as underlying cause
- Diet rich in iron content as spinach, green leafy veg, cereals, pulses, jaggery, legumes, beet root and others
