General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The complete blood count has different areas that are used together to find out the cause of any abnormalities.

The HB/hemoglobin is not interpreted on its own but along with the MCV, MCHC and MCH.
These values help to determine the possible type and cause of anemia eg if they are low, this may indicate iron deficiency anemia, lead poisoning , thalassemia

If they are increased or normal, may indicate other potential causes of anemia.

The complete blood count, particularly these values, would need to be assessed.

I hope this helps
