Hello
God Bless you , you will survive longer than any one else;
As you mentioned that now a days you are taking every precautions for
HIV infection and for your own health.
Prognosis i.e. LIFE EXPECTANCY .
Depend on many factors .
According to DHHS practice guidelines ,a CD4+
T cell count less than 500/microL is a clear indication to initiate antiretroviral therapy .While the CD4+T cell count provides information on the current IMMUNOLOGICAL STATUS of the patient, HIV
RNA level predicts, what will happen to the CD4+ Tcell count in near future.
So the measurement of plasma HIV RNA level should be made at the time of HIV diagnosis and every 3-4 months after that ( so not measured in your case previously . please get it at now).
Now you are taking "
ATRIPLA " keep this treatment regularly as advised by your physician .
The most important thing to be noted in HIV infection i.e. patient the problem of "OPPORTUNISTIC INFECTIONS IN AIDS".
These are pneumocystis jirovecii
pneumonia ,
toxoplasmosis etc .
Life expectancy is more than 20 years till now , this is scientifically proved .
Regular monitoring and regular medicine , avoid opportunistic infections will prolong life .
Hope this will help you.
Good luck.
