What Is Normal Range Of Heart Beat In Patient In Coma?
My husband has been in a medically induced coma for seven days due to septic shock. His cultures grew mrsa however the last culture has grown nothing in the last five days. The trouble is that they are having trouble waking him. His heart rate has been a steady 145 and RR in the 30 s. Is this normal?

As your husband is in septic shock, it's common to have heart rate around 145.its because of the increased demands of the body, heart tries to pump it in higher rate.
Also he will be on noradrenaline and dopamine infusion for maintenance of blood pressure. This also causes increase in blood pressure.
