What Is Normal Semen Analysis Report?

Hi doctors my semen analysis is as follows Quantity. 2.5 ml Colour. Yellow Odour. Aromatic Liquefication. 30 mins Reaction. Acidic around 7.2 Fructose. Positive Total count. 32 million Motlitiy present Actively motile. 40% Sluggish motile. 40% Non motile. 20% Pus 10-12. /Hpf Abnormal forms Head 5% Body. 5% Tail. 5% My testosterone is 293 ng/dl I need to know is my sperm count too low? Can that be increased through medicines?

Thanks for writing to us

Your sperm count is normal.It should be at least 20 millions/ml.

But,your semen analysis report suggests infection.
Infection is indicated by the presence of excessive pus cells in semen. Normally there shouldn't be any pus cells in semen.
Infection may be due to prostatitis,UTI.
You need antibiotics for infection.
You need few more investigations like routine hemogram,RBS,Ultrasound of pelvis should be done.Trans rectal sonography of prostate can be done if needed.
Proper antibiotics should be prescribed depending upon culture and sensitivity report of semen.

Sperm morphology is normal.
Your testosterone level are also towards lower side.In males, its normal value is 300 -1,000 ng/dL.
However,normal value ranges may vary slightly among different laboratories. Some labs use different measurements or test different specimens.You should talk to your doctor.
