What Is Pain In Lower Abdomen Radiating To Back Suggestive Of?
I have had pain in my lower right abdomen for a couple of weeks. It radiates in the front and back. I have been relieving the pain with a heating pad in the highest heat setting. The pain isn t constant. Also I have been feeling really tired for a few days. So tired that it s a struggle to get myself up and out of bed and I feel foggy in my head.
Noted your history of intermittent pain on right lower side that radiates to front and back for couple of weeks. You have not mentioned any symptoms related to the gastrointestinal or urinary system. Yet, from the history that you have presented the possible causes can be as follows:
Right ureteric stone that has been impacted causing obstruction to the urinary flow and hence the spasmodic intermittent pain and referred pain as you have mentioned.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Consult your Doctor for clinical evaluation, examination and investigations o X-ray of abdomen and ultrasonography of abdomen along with tests of blood, urine ad stool.
All these give the proper diagnosis and a plan of an appropriate management.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
