What Is Parenchymal Disease And How Should It Be Treated?

What is parenchymal disease? In 2004 at USC Hospital my impression was small focus of parenchymal disease in the right middle lobe. A digital scout radiograph was required. Multiple high resolution transverse computed tomographic images of the chest were required. I am having difficulty in walking long distances, getting very tired. Could this be my problem. No action was taken to treat this disease. Thanks, Jean

Hello

Lung parenchymal disease means disease in lung tissue proper.
Findings suggest small parenchymal focus in right middle lobe.It may be due to many reasons like infection, inflammation, tumour etc.
Generally it is due to infection and firstly I prescribe broad spectrum antibiotics.
You also need clinical correlation and follow up scan.

Most likely tiredness is due to some other reasons. You need proper clinical evaluation and investigations.Investigations include routine hemogram, random blood sugar, lipid profile, liver function test, renal function test, urine RE/ME.

Take Care
